Midweek
Part-time editorial assistant
(posted Feb 18, 2005)

MidWeek is hiring!

Here's a posting by MidWeek editor Don Chapman.

Part-time editorial assistant: this is an entry level, foot-in-the-door position, and will include a lot of clerky duties, but also some writing -- I believe in having a staff where everyone can and does write. Duties include working on the calendar, so must be detail oriented. Looking for solid journalism skills, and having a healthy interest in local night life would be a plus. Hours will likely start at 2 p.m. daily and could involve weekends.

Part-time photographer is also entry level, will work Friday nights and weekends, probably plenty of Honolulu Pa'ina events, and the person needs to have their own gear, preferably digital.

They'll each work 20 hours per week, no benefits, and contribute to both MidWeek and MidWeek The Weekend.

Hope to have them both hired and on board within two weeks.

We have a great, cohesive staff of talented professionals with solid work ethics who support one another and truly care about our publications, and I'm looking to hire more people like that. It's a very positive work environment.

If interested, please send your resume and clips to MidWeek editor Don Chapman as soon as possible.
